Launched in October 2026, the Resound Sensia 7 hearing aids are the advanced, mid-range level of Resound's newest range. In one respect, they're better value than the level they replace.

With Vivia, Resound's AI noise reduction was reserved for the top level. With Sensia, it has moved down a level. The rechargeable Sensia 7 microRIE has the same DNN (deep neural network) noise reduction as Sensia 9.

How does Sensia 7 compare with the previous Resound Vivia 7?

This is where Sensia makes its biggest step forward. Vivia 7 had no AI noise reduction; that was reserved for Vivia 9. Sensia 7 microRIE includes it in a Hearing in Noise programme.

Which Sensia 7 style gets the AI?

The AI noise reduction and Intelligent Focus are only in the rechargeable Sensia 7 microRIE. The battery-powered RIE 61 and RIE 62 and the custom in-ear models use Resound's conventional noise processing. If the AI is the reason you're interested, the microRIE is the one to ask your audiologist about.

Battery life and charging

The Sensia 7 microRIE gives around 24 hours on a typical day, with up to 30 hours without streaming. With streaming for half the day, expect around 20 hours.

Charging is inductive, so the hearing aids simply drop into place in the charger. The Premium charger holds extra charges for when you're away from a plug.

The app

The Resound Smart 3D app covers volume, programmes, battery status and noise control. It also includes an Auracast Assistant for finding broadcast streams and remote fine-tuning, so your audiologist can make minor adjustments without an appointment.

Accessories

Sensia 7 works with Resound's current accessories. The Auracast-enabled TV-Streamer+ streams TV sound directly to your hearing aids.
