Boots Hearing Aids

Boots Hearingcare are the 2nd or 3rdlargest retailer of hearing aids in the UK. They are sometimes known as David Ormerod Hearing Centres and operate mainly from Boots stores or opticians. In February 2013 Boots acquired a minority stake in David Ormerod Hearing Centres.

This hearing company is owned mainly by the Swiss manufacturer Phonak so don’t be surprised if they recommend Phonak hearing aids. The Boots Hearingcare website makes no mention of prices but simply categorizes hearing aids into Good, Better and Best ranges.

However, on the David Ormerod website (same company don’t forget) they brand the aids as Premium and Digital Value ranges. On here they mention that a Premium hearing aid costs up to £2995 each (about double the price we charge). I understand that they do offer a reduced price on the second hearing aid if 2 are purchased together bringing the price down to around £4500. That’s about £1500 more than our prices.
