The Starkey Omega AI 24 is the top-tier device in the Omega AI series: a flagship model engineered to set a new standard in hearing performance. It pairs the brand’s new G3 Neuro Processor with a deep-neural-network directionality system — offering genuinely intelligent hearing in every environment. And when we say intelligent, we mean it actually learns and adapts rather than just throwing around buzzwords.
Built for everyday life, from busy conversations in cafés to streaming TV in the living room, the Omega AI 24 adapts to your world, delivering clearer speech, less background noise and enhanced connectivity.
Whether you're catching up with friends at your local, navigating a crowded supermarket, or simply watching the telly without constantly adjusting the volume, these hearing aids are designed to move seamlessly through your day with you. Overall, the most intelligent hearing system Starkey has ever created — combining AI-driven clarity, all-day comfort and wellness insight in one elegant device.
Here's where things get really interesting. The G3 Neuro Processor operates six times faster than the previous generation, analysing up to 80 million sound data points per hour to deliver truly lifelike sound.
To put that in perspective, that's analysing your sound environment more thoroughly than you analyse whether you fancy another biscuit with your tea - and doing it constantly, all day long.
Omega AI 24 introduces DNN 360, a deep-neural-network powered directionality system that analyses sounds from all 360° around you, enabling the device to distinguish speech from noise and respond proactively. This results in clearer voices and less unwanted background chatter.
Think of it rather like having a very attentive dinner companion who knows exactly when to filter out the table next to you, chatting loudly about their holiday plans, so you can focus on your own conversation.
According to testing, it delivers up to 28% improved speech intelligibility and up to 8 dB better signal-to-noise ratio in noisy settings. It also supports a bigger AI-DNN database and more advanced algorithms than preceding models, meaning the learning and adaptation process happens faster.
This isn't just marketing speak - the difference is genuinely noticeable in real-world situations where older hearing aids would have struggled to keep up. The underlying AI is trained on millions of real-life audio samples, enabling the hearing aids to identify speech patterns more quickly and accurately than previous generations.
When things get really noisy — think conferences, banquets or open-plan social spaces — you can activate Edge Mode+, either via the app or a discreet button on the device, to ramp up focus on speech and reduce surrounding distractions. We've all been in those situations where you're nodding along, pretending you've heard what someone said when you haven't caught a word - Edge Mode+ is designed specifically for those moments.
The mode is quick to engage and switches the aid into a special “intensive” listening mode for as long as the environment demands. Edge Mode+ now offers real-time adaptive enhancement, automatically adjusting as you move between environments, so you never miss a word.
Honestly, it's rather clever - you can move from a quiet corridor into a bustling event space and the aids adjust before you've even noticed the change in noise level.
The rechargeable RIC RT version of the Omega AI 24 offers up to 51 hours of use, including streaming, while the mini RIC R model provides around 31 hours. Both models maintain this performance without increasing power consumption compared to previous generation models.
That's proper all-day wear without the anxiety of wondering whether your aids will last through dinner, which is frankly how all technology should work but rarely does.
Power efficiency has been optimised with the G3 processor, giving longer life without increasing battery size, and supports fast-charge functionality for short top-ups when you’re in a hurry. Both rechargeable models use Starkey’s latest lithium-ion power cells designed for over 1,000 full charge cycles — giving years of reliable daily use without significant degradation.
So you're not going to find yourself needing new batteries every year or dealing with steadily declining performance - these are built to last.
Rated IP68 for water and dust resistance, Omega AI 24 is built to stay reliable through real-life conditions. This means light rain, sweaty gym sessions, or a bit of drizzle aren't going to cause you any concern. It features a new durable resin shell (for custom models), tougher components, and an improved coating.
LED indicator lights show power status, Bluetooth connectivity and also assist with the “Find My Hearing Aid” feature in low-light situations. Because let's face it, we've all mislaid our hearing aids at some point, and trying to find them without being able to hear the "beep" is rather frustrating.
The coating has been lab-tested to last up to 10 times longer than previous Starkey models. A dual-colour LED indicator system (green/red) shows power, Bluetooth status and even acts as a “Find My Hearing Aid” locator, flashing when prompted through the app — ideal for quick recovery in low light.
Ergonomically contoured microphones and a low-profile receiver port help reduce wind noise outdoors, while new venting geometry lessens occlusion for a more open, natural sound. This might not sound important until you've worn hearing aids that amplify every gust of wind into something resembling a hurricane - then you'll really appreciate how well the Omega AI 24 handles these everyday irritations.
Omega AI 24 supports hands-free calling on compatible Apple iOS and Android devices, allowing you to take calls directly through the hearing aids without touching your phone. The connection is stable enough that you'll actually want to use it regularly rather than seeing it as a nice-to-have feature that doesn't quite work properly.
It's Bluetooth Low Energy Audio and is Auracast ready, allowing direct streaming of calls, music and TV to your hearing aids. The integrated telecoil (in certain styles) also ensures compatibility with UK induction-loop systems in public venues. So whether you're at the cinema, theatre, or your local church, you're covered.
The accompanying My Starkey app supports remote fine-tuning, a Virtual Care service and a “TeleHear Gen AI Assistant” which can resolve problems with high accuracy — around 93% according to manufacturer data. This means if you're having an issue at 10 pm on a Sunday evening, you can get help immediately rather than waiting days for an appointment.
The TeleHear Gen AI Assistant provides real-time support through the app, helping you troubleshoot issues or fine-tune your settings with a 93% problem-resolution accuracy rate. Integrated telecoil (available on selected models) ensures compatibility with UK induction-loop systems found in public venues, churches and theatres.
Beyond hearing, Omega AI 24 features built-in sensors that track motion, balance and respiratory rate. It's rather like having a Fitbit built into your hearing aids, though obviously the primary job is still helping you hear properly. This means your hearing aids also support Balance Builder exercises (developed in part with Stanford University) and automatic detection of falls.
These wellness tools integrate with the My Starkey app, turning your hearing aids into a proactive health companion.
The system now includes Balance Builder (developed in partnership with Stanford University) — a feature that helps improve stability and coordination. Health Insights within the My Starkey app log steps, social engagement and respiratory rate, giving wearers valuable feedback for maintaining overall wellbeing.
Fall-detection alerts can automatically send notifications via the app to chosen contacts — providing peace of mind for wearers and family members. This is a small feature that could make a big difference, particularly for older wearers or anyone living alone.
Compatible with Starkey’s StarLink accessories (Remote Microphone, Table Microphone, TV Streamer), which pair via Bluetooth for enhanced performance in demanding listening situations. Some models include a telecoil for legacy hearing-loop systems (important in UK venues with induction loops) — especially the RIC RT version.
A portable StarLink Charger+ case provides on-the-go recharging and built-in drying to protect against moisture when travelling. Ideal for weekend breaks or longer trips where you want the peace of mind that you've got backup charging and moisture protection sorted.
The Omega AI 24 suits those with moderate to severe hearing loss who demand high-end performance and modern features. This hearing aid is ideal for people who lead varied, active lives and find themselves in different listening situations throughout the day - from quiet home environments to busy restaurants to outdoor activities. Choose this model if you want:
It's particularly good for people who've been frustrated by hearing aids that work well in some situations but poorly in others. If you're tired of constantly fiddling with settings or taking your aids out in noisy environments because they're more hindrance than help, the Omega AI 24's adaptive intelligence could be genuinely life-changing.
The Omega AI range offers several performance tiers (e.g., 24, 20, and 16) and a selection of styles and colours to suit lifestyle, cosmetic preference and budget. These are:
The Omega AI range is a major leap for Starkey in terms of architecture: the G3 Neuro Processor plus DNN 360 mark a significant step beyond previous Edge AI or Evolv AI models. The improvements in speech clarity, battery life, connectivity and durability make it a strong upgrade for anyone who valued earlier models but wants more.
While it's a premium product with premium pricing, for the right person, it could be worth every penny. The technology isn't just incrementally better - it represents a genuine step forward in how hearing aids process and adapt to real-world sound.
✔️ According to Starkey, Omega AI 24 is Starkey's smartest hearing aid yet. With a G3 Neuro Processor that's six times faster than previous generations and DNN 360 technology, it analyses 80 million sound data points per hour to deliver genuinely intelligent, adaptive hearing in every environment.
✔️ Edge Mode+ gives you control when you need it most. In particularly challenging listening situations like conferences or busy restaurants, activate Edge Mode+ for an instant boost in speech clarity and background noise reduction - it's like having an emergency "help me hear" button that actually works.

Not only are the prices great, but the service is fantastic! Many thanks to your team.In general, any audiologist will always recommend to you the hearing aid model that best suits your needs. Here is a useful checklist to make sure that is the case.
If you have significant hearing loss in both ears, you should be wearing two hearing aids. Here are the audiological reasons why:
Localisation: The brain decodes information from both ears and compares and contrasts them. By analysing the minuscule time delays as well as the difference in the loudness of each sound reaching the ears, the person is able to accurately locate a sound source.
Simply put, if you have better hearing on one side than the other, you can't accurately tell what direction sounds are coming from.
Less amplification is required: A phenomenon known as “binaural summation” means that the hearing aids can be set at a lower and more natural volume setting than if you wore only one hearing aid.
Head shadow effect: High frequencies, the part of your hearing that gives clarity and meaning to speech sounds, cannot bend around your head. Only low frequencies can. Therefore, if someone is talking on your unaided side, you are likely to hear that they are speaking, but be unable to tell what they have said.
Noise reduction: The brain has its own built-in noise reduction, which is only really effective when it is receiving information from both ears. If only one ear is aided, even with the best hearing aid in the world, it will be difficult for you to hear in background noise as your brain is trying to retain all of the sounds (including background noise) rather than filtering them out.
Sound quality: We are designed to hear in stereo. Only hearing from one side sounds a lot less natural to us.

For most people, the main benefit of a rechargeable hearing aid is simple convenience. We are used to plugging in our phones and other devices overnight for them to charge up. Here are some other pros and cons:
For anybody with poor dexterity or issues with their fingers, having a rechargeable aid makes a huge difference, as normal hearing aid batteries are quite small and some people find them fiddly to change.
One downside is that if you forget to charge your hearing aid, then it is a problem that can't be instantly fixed. For most, a 30-minute charge will get you at least two or three hours of hearing, but if you are the type of person who is likely to forget to plug them in regularly, then you're probably better off with standard batteries.
Rechargeable aids are also a little bit bigger and are only available in Behind-the-Ear models.
Finally, just like with a mobile phone, the amount of charge you get on day one is not going to be the same as you get a few years down the line. Be sure to ask what the policy is with the manufacturer's warranty when it comes to replacing the battery.
For most people, the answer is yes. But it's never that simple.
The majority of hearing problems affect the high frequencies a lot more than the low ones. Therefore, open fitting hearing aids sound a lot more natural and ones that block your ears up can make your own voice sound like you are talking with your head in a bucket. Therefore, in-ear aids tend to be less natural.
However, the true answer is we can't tell until we have had a look in your ears to assess the size of your ear canal, and until we have tested your hearing to see which frequencies are being affected.
People with wider ear canals tend to have more flexibility, also there are open fitting modular CIC hearing aids now that do not block your ears.
There is also the age-old rule to consider, that a hearing aid will not help you if it's sat in the drawer gathering dust. If the only hearing aid you would be happy wearing is one that people can't see, then that's what you should get.
Most people can adapt to any type of hearing aid, as long as they know what to expect. Have an honest conversation with your audiologist as to what your needs are.
Generally speaking, six or more. Unless it's none at all. The number of channels a hearing aid has is often a simplistic way an audiologist will use to explain why one hearing aid is better than another, but channels are complex, and it is really not that straightforward. Here are some reasons why:
Hearing aids amplify sounds of different frequencies by different amounts. Most people have lost more high frequencies than low, and therefore need more amplification in the high frequencies. The range of sounds you hear is split into frequency bands or channels, and the hearing aids are set to provide the right amount of hearing at each frequency level.
Less than six channels, and this cannot be done with much accuracy, so six is the magic number. However, a six-channel aid is typically very basic with few other features and is suitable only for hearing a single speaker in a quiet room. The number of channels is not what you should be looking at; it's more the rest of the technology that comes with them.
As a final note, different manufacturers have different approaches. One method is not necessarily better than any other. For example, some manufacturers have as many as 64 channels in their top aids. Most tend to have between 17 and 20. One manufacturer has no channels at all.
Manufacturer's warranties typically last between 2-5 years, depending on the brand and model, and cover defects in materials and workmanship. This includes repairs for component failures, electronic malfunctions, and manufacturing defects, but excludes damage from misuse, accidents, or normal wear. Most manufacturers also include loss and damage insurance for the first year.
We handle all warranty claims on your behalf, liaising with manufacturers and ensuring you get replacement devices quickly when needed. This comprehensive warranty coverage, combined with our lifetime aftercare, gives you complete peace of mind.
Our hearing tests are completely free, whether at our clinics or in your home. Unlike other providers who charge £30-£100 for home visits, we believe hearing healthcare should be accessible without financial barriers. Our comprehensive assessments include examination by a registered audiologist, audiogram results, and personalised recommendations.
All testing, future adjustments, and ongoing support are included at no extra cost. While NHS tests are also free, typical 6-week waiting periods often lead people to seek immediate private testing. We provide prompt, professional assessments that fit your schedule and budget.
Yes, we offer completely free home visits throughout the UK, and this service is included in our prices with no additional charges. Home visits are particularly valuable for people with mobility issues, busy schedules, or those who simply prefer the comfort and convenience of their own environment.
Our audiologists can conduct full hearing tests, fit hearing aids, and provide ongoing support in your home. This service sets us apart from many providers who either don't offer home visits or charge extra for them.
We can offer prices up to 40% lower than high street retailers because of our business model. As a network of 200+ independent audiologists, we don't have the massive overheads of large retail chains - no expensive high street premises, no sales targets pushing audiologists to sell the most expensive options, and no costly marketing campaigns.
However, we maintain the same buying power as the big chains because we purchase on behalf of our entire nationwide network. This means you get access to the same premium hearing aids with professional service, but at genuinely competitive prices.
We offer a comprehensive 60-day money-back guarantee, which gives you twice the industry standard time to properly assess whether your hearing aids are right for you. This extended period recognises that adjusting to hearing aids takes time, and your brain needs several weeks to adapt to the amplified sounds.
Unlike many providers who offer just 30 days, we believe 60 days gives you the confidence to test your hearing aids in all the situations that matter to you - from quiet conversations at home to busy restaurants and outdoor activities.
