The Resound Savi 2 is the entry point into Resound's new Savi range, and it's a more capable hearing aid than its price tag might suggest. As part of the range that supersedes the Resound Key, the Savi 2 carries forward Resound's well-established sound processing technology in a contemporary design, while adding something that genuinely sets it apart from comparable hearing aids at this level: Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast broadcast audio.
For many people, the Savi 2 will provide everything they need. It handles everyday listening environments well, connects seamlessly to phones and public broadcasts, and comes in the same range of styles and colours as the rest of the Savi family. If you're looking for a reliable, modern hearing aid without paying for features you're unlikely to use, the Savi 2 is worth a close look.
If you're unsure whether the Savi 2 or Savi 3 is the better fit for your needs, our audiologists are happy to talk it through with you before you commit to anything.
Clear, natural sound quality. The Savi 2 uses 10 processing channels to amplify sound across the frequency range in a way that's tailored to your specific hearing loss. It won't have the pinpoint accuracy of a 12-channel model, but for many hearing profiles – particularly those with a fairly straightforward loss pattern – 10 channels is more than sufficient.
Automatic noise management. The Savi 2 includes NoiseTracker II, which automatically detects and reduces background noise in challenging environments, whether that's a busy cafe, a family gathering, or a noisy office. You shouldn't need to fiddle with settings every time you walk into a different room.
Feedback suppression. DFS Ultra III works quietly in the background to prevent the whistling or squealing that can otherwise occur when the hearing aid microphone picks up amplified sound. It's one of those features you only really notice when it's not there.
Wind noise reduction. Wind Guard reduces the distraction of wind noise, which is particularly useful if you spend time outdoors.
Built to last. Full IP68 rating and nano-coating protection mean the Savi 2 can handle moisture, sweat, dust, and the general wear and tear of daily life.
Despite sitting at the entry level of the Savi range, the Savi 2 includes the same connectivity features as the Savi 3 – and they're genuinely impressive for a hearing aid at this price point.
The Savi 2 supports both Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast broadcast audio, making it the first essential-range hearing aid to do so. You can stream audio and take hands-free calls directly through the Resound Smart 3D app, and the integrated Auracast Assistant means you can connect to public broadcasts – in theatres, cinemas, airports, lecture halls, and anywhere else with compatible Auracast transmitters – with a single tap.
This works even if your phone doesn't have Auracast built in yet. It's connectivity that would have felt out of place in an entry-level hearing aid just a couple of years ago.
The Savi 2 is available in all five Savi styles, covering a wide range of hearing losses and personal preferences:
The Savi 2 and Savi 3 share the same connectivity, the same physical styles, and the same core sound processing platform. The Savi 3 adds four features on top:
For someone with a straightforward hearing loss who primarily needs clarity in one-to-one conversations and wants the connectivity features without a higher price tag, the Savi 2 is a perfectly sound choice. If you spend a lot of time in more complex or varied listening environments – busy social settings, outdoor spaces, or situations where you frequently need to follow voices from different directions – the Savi 3's additional processing is likely to be noticeable.
Music listeners will also benefit from the Savi 3's dedicated Music Mode. It's genuinely worth discussing with your audiologist rather than just defaulting to either option. They'll be able to match the technology level to your actual lifestyle.
The Savi 2 is available in the same contemporary colour palette as the Savi 3, with a subtle shimmer finish:
miniRIE: Sparkling silver, sand, bronze, espresso, and deep black.
RIE models: Beige, medium blonde, dark brown, sterling grey, and black.
ITC and CIC: Anthracite, light beige, beige, medium brown, brown, and dark brown, plus blue, red, and clear shells.

Not only are the prices great, but the service is fantastic! Many thanks to your team.In general, any audiologist will always recommend to you the hearing aid model that best suits your needs. Here is a useful checklist to make sure that is the case.
Generally speaking, six or more. Unless it's none at all. The number of channels a hearing aid has is often a simplistic way an audiologist will use to explain why one hearing aid is better than another, but channels are complex, and it is really not that straightforward. Here are some reasons why:
Hearing aids amplify sounds of different frequencies by different amounts. Most people have lost more high frequencies than low, and therefore need more amplification in the high frequencies. The range of sounds you hear is split into frequency bands or channels, and the hearing aids are set to provide the right amount of hearing at each frequency level.
Less than six channels, and this cannot be done with much accuracy, so six is the magic number. However, a six-channel aid is typically very basic with few other features and is suitable only for hearing a single speaker in a quiet room. The number of channels is not what you should be looking at; it's more the rest of the technology that comes with them.
As a final note, different manufacturers have different approaches. One method is not necessarily better than any other. For example, some manufacturers have as many as 64 channels in their top aids. Most tend to have between 17 and 20. One manufacturer has no channels at all.
