Update 2023: There are now more advanced Signia hearing aid models available here
Those with hearing loss know that hearing is not always an easy ride - from groups of people talking at once to challenging background noise. Signia believes that with Signia AX hearing aids you can tackle these obstacles and much more by taking apart each element of sound so there is more focus and therefore, a more comfortable hearing experience.
Launched in May 2021, this Augmented Xperience hearing aid is said to deliver a unique hearing solution within a high spec device. In fact, it's the world's first augmented platform, giving you less hearing strain and clear speech in conversation wherever you are.
There are many models available in this hearing aid platform and to make it easier we have gone through each one on this page. View quick references to each model below.

The Signia AX is said to offer more beneficial features than the superseded Signia Xperience. Such improvements as brand new compatibility with Android mobile phones, the speech and environmental sounds are now processed separately with dual processors and around a 22% increase in rechargeable battery runtime since Xperience.
These are great steps in the right direction, but what about all the other features? On this page, we take a look at each of the main features and what they mean to the user.
A few months after launch, in November 2021, Signia introduced Insio Charge&Go AX hearing aids, Styletto Charge&Go hearing aids, Styletto AX CROS hearing aids and a traditional battery offering with Signia Pure 312 AX hearing aids.
We will be looking at each hearing aid model within the Signia AX platform throughout this page.
Rechargeable Charge&Go AX models: Pure Charge&Go AX, CROS Charge&Go AX, Insio Charge&Go AX, Styletto Charge&Go AX.
Traditional battery AX models: CROS AX, Pure 312 and CROS Pure 312.
Signia AX hearing aids technology levels: 7, 5 and 3.
Historically, digital hearing aids have processed all sounds under one set of rules. The issue here is that with only having one processor all the signals are battling against each other. If you focus on one part, another is therefore neglected.
With Signia's Augmented Xperience - the two processors can completely boost various parts without sacrificing either. This then manipulates the sound of speech and surroundings beautifully so that it always delivers outstanding speech clarity as well as you being able to get more enjoyment from your surroundings and out of your hearing.
This updated sound processing technology is more sophisticated and realistic. Replacing the old sound management system with motion sensors designed to know when you are moving and adapt your soundscapes accordingly.
What does this mean for your hearing loss? This way of processing sound means you can hear people better on the go without being distracted from your surroundings but still feel a part of it.
Signia's Augmented Focus technology comprises of two patented processors. These separate the sound processing jobs between them, so one focuses on completely understanding what sounds are in focus and the other provides a full scope of your surroundings.
Sound switches from being challenging to sounding closer than it is and more crisp and clear, as well as the background noise remaining less forceful and more subdued.
In reality, this should mean that you benefit from clearer speech in challenging listening environments and an immersive soundscape- giving you audible speech and a better understanding of conversation.
These sensors are created to find and recognise more variables of your soundscape than previous hearing aid ranges, so the data about your surroundings are more accurate and realistic.
What does this mean for you? Because the sound is accurately identified and processed you simply benefit from better hearing and understanding.
This clever technology always focuses on the most important voice or the dominant one within a conversation in relation to where you are positioned.
How does this help me? This along with the motion sensors means your hearing aids will make better decisions for your hearing loss and what the devices should be focused on to give you an optimum listening experience.
This feature is only in the RIC and BTE models and when you are wearing two hearing aids. It understands and recognises your voice and enhances it in such a way that it sounds as natural as possible by decreasing auditory occlusion.
Why is this a good thing? This system means you can have the benefits of a closed fit device, therefore reducing the annoyance of occlusion and giving you a more successful hearing aid in general.
The above features are some of the main ones available in the Signia AX platform, however, some do depend on what technology level you opt for. View our specification table further down the page to discover what features are included in each performance.
Pure's Signia Assistant gives you hearing healthcare support whenever you need it most. It can also be used to adjust your hearing device settings, whilst the Telecare feature allows you to stay in touch with your local audiologist. These hearing aids tackle all real-life acoustic challenges with a device that is jam-packed with high spec technology. For instance, you can benefit from direct Bluetooth streaming from both iOS and Android devices*
This hearing aid offers advanced rechargeability - giving you an impressive 24 hours of power throughout your day in just a single charge, as well as five hours of streaming. You get even more power in the same amount of charge and streaming with the T AX model - delivering up to 36 hours of power.
This will all depend on your streaming usage and hours of power will vary according to the device.
Signia now offers three options, so you can find a solution that fits in with your lifestyle. Here is the breakdown and what they look like below (in order of appearance):
A little history behind the model
The Signia Styletto Nx design was revisited in August 2020, with Styletto X and created to squish the stigma that surrounds hearing loss and hearing aids. Signia challenged themselves to design a device that not only catered for hearing loss, included advanced technology, features and connectivity - but a device that people actually wanted to wear that matched their lifestyle and image at the same time.
Smaller and better?
This style upgrade combines a smaller version of the 'Styletto' award-winning design, advanced rechargeability and great sound. We believe that Signia achieved this and the Styletto has been a popular choice for those who wanted style, convenience, outstanding connectivity and hearing aid features they want.
Performance levels: Signia Styletto AX are available in performance levels 7, 5 and 3.
The advanced charging capabilities also means that you can charge on the go with Styletto's portable charging case. The pocket-sized charging system is made with wireless technology that enables you to simply place the charger on a charging pad without using the mains as normal desktop chargers do.
Around 17 hours of power per single overnight charge
It also has the power to give you around four days of autonomy without needing to charge your case. Ideal for a long weekend away and for popping in your pocket for that extra boost when you need it - especially if you are streaming more often.
These hearing aids are compatible with both Android & iPhone connectivity for calls, music and TV. With the new Augmented platform, it is now also possible to stream directly to Android devices using ASHA (Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids)*
The Styletto AX is also compatible with the Signia Bluetooth accessories, Signia app and Signia Assistant and Remote Telecare for:
These hearing aid devices are available in Black/Fine Gold, Black/Graphite, Black/Silver, Cosmic Blue/Fine Gold, Cosmic Blue/Rose Gold, Cosmic Blue/Silver, Snow White/Fine Gold, Snow White/Rose Gold and Snow White/Silver.
The new Insio includes the Augmented Xperience platform you first saw in Pure Charge&Go AX - so you benefit from advanced speech in noise and ITE options in the Signia AX range. Signia believes that they have created a model that not only provides clarity in speech, but an immersive soundscape and hearing aid features that will answer your wants and needs.
Consumers will also enjoy taking advantage of the motion sensors, originally brought by the Xperience hearing aid range, adapting and optimising sound on the go.
This new ITE rechargeable hearing aid brings optimum hearing technology and discretion that is custom made and bespoke to you for extra comfort everyday. Custom-made means that the hearing aid itself is adapted to fit your unique ear shape or 'ear anatomy', so it is even more discreet.
Choose between two models, which are the ITE that sits within your ear and the ITC - sitting even more discreetly in your ear canal. Available in performance levels 7, 5 and 3.
Both ITE models are available in Black, Dark Brown, Brown, Mocha, Tan and Beige.
Look forward to advanced Bluetooth technology for both iOS and Android devices* Stream calls, music and TV directly through to your Insio AX hearing aids in an enhanced digital sound. Connect to your Signia app to access AI features via the Signia Assistant whenever you want for adjustments and remote support.
For extra support when you need it the most - use Signia TeleCare to get in touch with your audiologist even on the go. With inspiration taken from how our brain's neural network reacts to challenges - Signia Assistant provides instant support when you need to adjust the settings of your device.
Mobile devices compatible with the Signia app: For Apple - iOS version 11.0 or above and for Android - 6.0 or above.
The Insio AX, at launch, is the first custom hearing aid device with lithium-ion charging that is contactless. All you have to do is put the hearing aids in the charger and they will automatically connect.
Charge them at night when you are sleeping and wake up good to go knowing that you have the reliability of around 20 hours of power in one charge (this will all depend on your streaming usage).
Signia Insio Charge&Go AX hearing aids are also compatible with Signia Bluetooth accessories.
The Signia Pure Charge&Go CROS AX hearing aid is Signia's newest CROS device - delivering augmented technology for people with hearing loss in one ear. Like the rest of the hearing aid range, it features the Augmented Xperience platform that processes important sounds like conversation separately from your background noise. Resulting in outstanding speech clarity in an immersive soundscape.
The Pure 312 AX CROS is the same in looks as the rechargeable, but with a traditional battery and battery door.
The new CROS Styletto AX looks as stylish and impressive as the sound you will benefit from. The award-winning design, which they call SLIM-RIC, has been revisited and is even smaller and discreet. This CROS hearing solution also offers wearers great speech clarity and only the features they want and need.
This includes wireless charging, Android and iPhone connectivity and the AI technology within the Signia Assistant. All CROS AX devices are available in performance levels 7, 5 and 3.
The visual below shows all the main digital hearing aid accessories that are compatible with all the AX hearing aid models These are (in order of appearance): StreamLine TV, miniPocket and StreamLine Mic.
You can use direct audio streaming from iOS devices and iPhone mobiles with these Made for iPhone hearing aids. Audio streaming is also available with Android smartphones via the Streamline Mic accessory.
This is only a brief review of this hearing aid range, as we can only provide feedback from our customers who have chosen the models within the AX hearing aid platform. We endeavour to provide more feedback on other models within this range, as and when we have relevant information.
On first impressions, the Pure Charge&Go AX in particular doesn't look dissimilar to that of the Xperience platform model (Pure Charge&Go X). However, there have been various notable improvements and changes throughout the platform - even beyond sound quality. Here we focus on the main ones.
The main change has been the obvious switch from inductive to "contact" charging systems, which has started and will no doubt filter through all Signia hearing aids in the future. This hearing aid platform can give wearers around twenty-four hours of power as well as five hours of streaming.
The telecoil model, Pure Charge&Go T AX, has the ability to deliver roughly thirty-one hours of power in a single charge, as well as five hours of streaming. Due to the improved battery in AX, we have been told by our customers that they have had no issues regarding battery life, even with large streaming usages*
We have had positive feedback, particularly from those who have chosen a rechargeable model and have found the new Pure Dry&Clean charging system both convenient and reassuring.
Customers have quoted that both the Dynamic Soundscape Processing and Augmented Sound Focus have made a difference in their listening experience. Simply hearing people better with less background noise and clearer speech in tricky hearing scenarios.
To summarise, the new Augmented Xperience platform or AX provides wearers with a greater sound experience and battery life. Additionally, the Bluetooth support for Android and iPhone has appealed to those who like high spec connectivity and might have been put off Signia hearing aids in the past due to their loyalty to Android devices and haven't rated Signia's connectivity.
