The Phonak Q30 range consists of 3 different fittings. These are the Bolero, Behind The Ear (BTE) with a sound processor behind the ear, the Virto Q (ITE) In The Ear where the hearing aid sits in the outer ear and the Virto Q Nano Invisible In Canal (IIC) which, as the name suggests, sits entirely inside the ear canal and is difficult for anyone else to see.
The Bolero Q30 (BTE) Behind The Ear fitting has a tough nano coating designed to repel dust and moisture, and is available in a range of colours from bright shades to subtle tones.
The most powerful hearing aid in the Q30 range, the Bolero is suitable for most types of hearing loss, from mild to profound. It is compatible with Phonak’s range of listening accessories.
The Virto, In The Ear (ITE) model has a range of power levels, so you can choose one for your level of hearing loss. The casing is custom made to fit your ear to make sure it feels secure and comfortable. This model is available in full shell and in the canal fittings and is also compatible with Phonak accessories.
The Virto Q Nano, ITE is the smallest hearing aid in the range and is custom made to fit your ear canal perfectly. Suitable for mild to moderate hearing loss it provides great sound quality and reliability.
These entry level hearing aids are designed to suit your budget whilst still benefitting from Phonic’s Binaural VoiceStream Technology. This technology allows a speech signal from one hearing aid to be streamed to both hearing aids at once. This gives the listener better speech understanding in more challenging listening situations.
This range offers the following programs:
Everyday Automatic
When you move from one place to another, your listening needs also change. This program is able to make changes to your hearing aid settings depending on your environment. This includes reducing the volume of background noise and enhancing speech sounds for better clarity.
WhistleBlock
The feedback whistle whenever anything touches your hearing aid or someone gets too close is annoying for hearing aid wearers. This program recognises the whistling sound of feedback and filters it out before you even know it’s there.
NoiseBlock
Low level background noise, such as office equipment, is difficult to ignore when you wear hearing aids. It can make it difficult to hear people speaking around you. This program can recognise continuous background noise and reduce its volume, allowing you to focus on the conversation around you.
Sound Recover
Many people lose their high frequency hearing, this means that higher sounds, such as children’s voices are more difficult to understand. The SoundRecover program brings these sounds within your hearing range, without distorting other sounds, giving you better speech clarity.
Phonak has a range of accessories to enhance your hearing. These include:
PilotOne and MiniControl
The PilotOne remote control works with the Bolero and Virto models. The MiniControl is designed to work with the Virto Q Nano. These discrete controls give you control over your hearing by allowing you to change your settings with ease.
Phonak ComPilot
The ComPilot is a sound streamer which picks up the sound from your Bluetooth devices, such as your phone or MP3 player, and streams it wirelessly to your hearing aids.
TV Link
This accessory is designed to work with the ComPilot to stream the sound from your television, without disturbing others with the volume.
Cordless Phone
Many hearing aid wearers find using the phone difficult. This phone can link wirelessly to your hearing aids and transmit the caller’s voice to both of your hearing aids, allowing you to listen in stereo. For times when you are not wearing your hearing aid the phone has a booster mode.
