What are the latest Signia hearing aids?

The newest hearing aid from Signia is the Signia Pure Charge&Go MaX, the first model on Signia’s new MaX platform (short for Multi-adaptive Xperience). It became available through UK hearing care providers on 4 September 2026. Hearing Aid UK supplies and professionally fits it in three technology levels, MaX 7, MaX 5 and MaX 3, at our clinics or during a free home visit.

MaX hasn’t replaced everything. Signia’s IX platform is still current and covers the Active Mini IX earbud-style aids launched earlier this year, the slim Styletto IX, and fully custom options such as Insio IX and Silk IX. So the newest Signia isn’t automatically the right Signia for you.

Signia Pure Charge&Go MaX hearing aids

Signia Pure Charge&Go MaX is a rechargeable Receiver-in-Canal (RIC) hearing aid. That means a small unit sits behind your ear, with a thin wire carrying sound to a tiny speaker in your ear canal. It’s the most common style we fit because it suits a wide range of hearing levels. Signia says more MaX models will follow.

What’s different about MaX?

The big change is how the hearing aid makes decisions. Signia states that MaX runs four AI systems at the same time, each with a separate job: following the people you’re talking to, recognising your own voice, reading your overall surroundings, and managing background noise.

Earlier hearing aids tended to use AI mainly to turn noise down. The idea behind MaX is that the four systems share what they’re picking up, so the hearing aid can respond to the whole situation, such as a lively dinner table, rather than one sound at a time.

According to Signia’s launch details, other changes from IX include:

• A new chip that Signia says has 54 times the processing power and twice the memory of IX, while using energy 50% more efficiently
• Own Voice Processing that now works automatically, so your own voice no longer needs to be set up during your appointment
• OneConnect, which Signia describes as Bluetooth Classic, Bluetooth LE Audio, a telecoil and Auracast in one hearing aid. Signia says full
• Auracast use will arrive through a software update by March 2027
• A pocket-sized charger that Signia says holds up to four full charges, with 30 minutes of charging giving up to six hours of use
• A choice of eight colours
• Signia also reports that, in its own testing, 97% of wearers did better in noisy group conversations with MaX than with key competitor hearing aids. 

Signia Active Mini IX hearing aids

Launched in July 2026, the Signia Active Mini IX hearing aids bring a true-wireless earbud styling to a smaller, lower-profile design, aimed at people who want the discretion of an in-ear hearing aid without a custom mould.

Signia states the range includes RealTime Conversation Enhancement, designed to adapt automatically as conversations shift between speakers, along with Bluetooth streaming for calls and music.

Active Mini IX is built on the IX platform rather than MaX, so its main appeal is the earbud styling and fit rather than the newest processing.

Signia Active IX hearing aids 

Signia launched the Active IX range in September 2024, and the appeal is obvious: hearing aids that look and feel like a pair of earbuds. Signia states they're designed for clear sound and easier speech understanding, adapting as you move between different listening situations. There are two models to choose from, depending on what matters most to you:

Signia Active Pro IX:

• RealTime Conversation Enhancement, Signia's feature for following conversations as they shift between speakers
• All-day power
• Premium-level technology, so automatic environment switching and full smart device integration
• IP68-rated, meaning strong resistance to water and dust
• AI-assisted sound processing

Signia Active IX:

Signia IX hearing aids as a whole

Signia launched the IX platform in September 2023. Its headline feature, RealTime Conversation Enhancement, was designed to keep track of speakers as they move around you. MaX now builds on that idea, but IX remains Signia’s platform for most of its styles, including Pure Charge&Go IX, Styletto IX, Insio IX, Silk IX and the Active range.

The Signia IX range comes with a wide range of features to improve sound quality, speech understanding and user comfort. Main features include:

Which Signia hearing aid is right for me?

With this many options, the right starting point depends on your day-to-day listening:

• If following group conversations in noisy places is your biggest frustration, Pure Charge&Go MaX is the model to ask about first. MaX 7 makes most sense if busy settings are a regular part of your week. MaX 5 or MaX 3 may be enough if they’re occasional.
• If discretion matters most to you, Silk or Insio's custom CIC and IIC options sit almost invisibly in the ear, though they suit certain ear shapes and hearing levels better than others, which your audiologist will confirm at your test.
• If you want the freedom of an earbud-style aid you can also use for calls and media, Active Mini IX or Active Pro IX is worth trying, though it won't suit every degree of hearing loss.
• If you mainly struggle one-to-one at home, a lower technology level on either platform is likely to be enough, and your audiologist can show you the difference before you decide.
