Woman Aged 101 Years Old Denied Hearing Aid Replacement

An elderly woman who is over a hundred years-old was denied coverage over her hearing aid replacement.

Lena Morgan, of Marysville, Washington, America is 101 years-old and needed a hearing aid replacement after her device was crushed at her nursing home.

She bought it less than two years ago and with a purchase agreement that has a loss and damage warranty.

But when the OAP broke her hearing aid the retailer demanded $1,600 for a new instrument.

A settled price was agreed and the century old lady had to pay $400.

The company said Lena should have received more detailed information about the warranty when she bought the hearing aid but as a gesture of goodwill, they are waiving the fee.

The feisty great grandmother said: “After all, I am 101 and it seems to me like they’d want to replace it.”

If you buy anything that includes a warranty, make sure you get a copy of it before you go home.
