Statement from Paul Harrison - Founder of Hearing Aid UK

Here, at Hearing Aid UK, we pride ourselves in having always provided excellent and professional hearing care, hearing aid maintenance and hearing test home visiting services. Our home visit service is both unique, bespoke and one that is still surprisingly not readily available.
Even in today’s changeable modern lifestyle - the high street hearing care retailers are continuing to see their patients in practice, rather than in the comfort of their own home. This concept continues to baffle us because the people that have hearing loss are often the most vulnerable. From a patient’s perspective, you don’t lose any level of service with a home visit. The at-home option still embodies the same level of service you would receive and expect in-house and this is why we promote this concept.
It is now even more apparent that the need for home visits is going to be an important service to provide in our global current situation and the virus threat we now face. In these uncertain times, we need to take a proactive approach so we can maintain balance within our company, our practices, our customers, our families and our community – by catering for everyone’s individual requirements professionally and safely.
This means that those with hearing loss who have decided to isolate themselves can still benefit from our hearing healthcare services. We believe that isolation shouldn’t restrict the opportunity to hear like you should, in fact, it is even more important – which is why we are focusing on continuing to bring our hearing healthcare services directly to you.
We want to reassure our customers that we are working very closely with the government, authorities and are constantly being updated with new guidelines and procedures specific to our industry. Here are the consistent precautionary measures we are taking:
This question is a good question and by far the most common misconception. Some people believe that only a sound-proof booth will give you an accurate audiogram. This is not the case. In reality, practices use these booths because their audiology clinics are within a noisy environment, so they require them because of this sole reason.
In short, anything that can be done in the practice can be done in your home by one of our audiologists. Here is a brief breakdown of some of the services we can provide for you:
There are many good reasons to opt for a home visit for your hearing healthcare. Here are a few:
