With Phonak Paradise - Phonak's new mission is that this new hearing aid will be just like 'paradise' for those with hearing loss. Providing well hearing and well being in various listening environments. With its predecessor, the Marvel range, being quite popular with consumers mainly due to its Made for Any Phone convenience - it is going to have to be an impressive hearing device indeed.
It focuses on audiology's well-known fact - that scientific evidence proves that untreated hearing loss is linked to falls, loneliness, depression, cognitive impairments and an increased risk of developing dementia. It flips our perception of well-being, security and safety.
Phonak's new PRISM (Processing Real-Time Intelligent Sound Management) sound processing chip is their answer to Paradise's premium level of sound. It is said to include around double the memory of their previous chip. This new hearing aid also has universal connectivity options, advanced fitting formula for increased comfort, better dynamic range, reduced reverberation and listening fatigue in noise.
Another newbie within the Phonak Paradise technology is the fourth-generation operating system - the AutoSense OS (ASOS 4.0) assisted by artificial intelligence. This expands on the existing feature set within Phonak's Marvel family. The AutoSense 4.0 offers an improved speech enhancer, motion-sensor hearing technology and dynamic noise cancellation.
The motion-sensor within Phonak Paradise figures out when the wearer is on the move, having a conversation and also assists in hassle-free calls with Siri, Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa - by just a simple double-tap to the ear. These features, along with everyday listening and streaming are said to be made possible with one single charge of Phonak's lithium-ion rechargeable battery technology.
There are three main features of the Phonak Paradise - said to improve useability and communication in various soundscapes and on the go. These are:
Phonak Paradise welcomes a more bespoke digital solution, so wearers get the most out of their hearing devices by using the myPhonak app. Easily manage and change the level of background noise and access remote professional hearing care - like a hearing test from the comfort of your own home. With Phonak's upgraded Phonak Hearing Screener, anyone can now partake in an online hearing assessment.
With Phonak Audeo Paradise you can benefit from the Hearing Diary app to rate different listening situations. Areas such as sound quality and speech understanding in a restaurant or workplace environment. This way you can provide realistic feedback for future adjustments that actually improve your everyday hearing.
Using the new Tap Control, Phonak Paradise can activate Siri, Alexa and Google Assistant to answer or reject calls and pause or resume audio streaming - just by tapping on the outer ear. Phonak's past hearing devices have only been able to activate one Bluetooth connection at a time. With Paradise, there are now eight possible Bluetooth pairings to access and switch to and two connections available to be active at the same time.
Phonak has adapted and improved on its past fitting formula by introducing the new Adaptive Phonak Digital 2.0 (APD 2.0). The upgrades in this formula are:
