Oticon Opn CROS Hearing Aid Launch - An Introduction
People with single-sided deafness can now connect to the world better than ever before with the successful Velox S platform and TwinLink technology of the Oticon CROS. A wireless open sound hearing experience that assists speech in challenging situations, with impressive reduced listening efforts.
The driving force behind the 360-degree sound within this digital hearing aid is the OpenSound Navigator. It continually examines the environment helping to balance sound and take away any unwanted sound. The CROS includes a premium OpenSound Navigator that brings a more involved hearing experience for the wearer in tricky situations – when speech and distance is a challenge. Ensuring focus on soundscape is maintained.
Well, this technology organises various speech and noise sources separately and avoids treating other sounds like noise. It successfully establishes the nature of the environment by analysing your soundscape 100 times per second. So, you are able to get a clear picture of priority, direction, level and frequency.
By balancing sound, it helps the wearer feel more confident in their environment – so focusing is easier, as it eliminates the distractions of background noise. Often noise comes from the same direction as speech and one can be hard to distinguish from the other.
The OpenSound Navigator makes the background more subtle and removes noise between words – an ideal solution for dinner party situations and talking in groups.
The TwinLink dual-streaming is another Oticon industry-first. It provides the wearer with a better connection to external audio sources with low-energy Bluetooth along with sound transmission using Near-Field Magnetic Induction (NFMI) – from the poorer to the better ear.
Simple everyday hearing solutions like listening to music and television are less complex when you are conversing with someone who is by your ear with poorer hearing. Additionally, like the technology within the Opn S and Xceed – the wearer can opt for the OpenSound Booster when they need the extra listening support.
What is uncommonly great with the Oticon CROS is the freedom it gives its wearers. You can use this hearing aid as a CROS or BICROS hearing solution and it is compatible with Oticon’s premium product range, the Opn S. The transmitter is also available in the miniRITE model, with seven colour options and different price points.
